Hanging onto things we do not use because they trigger nostalgia is a bad idea.
Clutter is any feeling, thing or file that prevents us from experiencing life at its best. Clutter can contribute to the feeling of overwhelm.
It already feels like we’ve been living the same life on repeat for the last two years because of the pandemic, don’t let it continue, you have got to go fully, brazenly, and courageously into the pursuit of your dreams.
So you've set your goals for 2022, but you've already forgotten what they were or you just haven't started working on them? Sometimes we just simply forget about the goals altogether, especially if they aren't that important to us. Other times the goal seems to have an awful lot of tasks involved and it's just too daunting so we bury our heads in the sand.
Good goals highlight exactly what you want to achieve and when. Setting varying-term goals will give you focus and a vision for the future.
Overwhelm doesn’t affect us all in the same way, but some of the feelings are the same. In my case, I would describe it as feeling heavy, like you’re in the ocean struggling to keep your head above water and your wet clothes are joining forces with the waves to just drag you under. It’s scary, demotivating, engulfing and feels like a soul-level tiredness that impacts your ability to think clearly and that creates confusion and brain fog, which in turn, causes you further stress. Pretty soon, if you don’t do anything about it, you will burn out.
Self-sabotage erodes your self-esteem and will impact your relationships with others and negatively impacts your mental health. It can even damage your reputation by preventing you from delivering aspects of projects at work, therefore it is best identified and addressed.
Much like many other things in life, if you show up with willing and eagerness to participate, the whole thing would be that much less of a miserable experience. You have to physically be there, so you may as well engage your mind into enjoying the experience and do what you can to fully engage in the day whether it is training or any other activity.
You have to spend your whole life with yourself, so if you need encouragement and to be told that everything is going to be ok, you are going to have to put yourself first and pat yourself on the back.
